| Based on the former China Eastern Airlines Flight Training Center, which was founded in 1987, Shanghai Eastern Flight Training Co., Ltd. is co-invested by China Eastern Air Group and China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. In these twenty years, the company has always been dedicating itself to providing professional flight training to customers, and has trained more than 18 thousand domestic and overseas pilots. In July 5, 2006, East China Administration of CAAC awarded the “Flight Training Center Certificate” to the company, making it the first certificate holder in East China. The company is now one of the Chinese flight training organizations which has the most modern and complete training facilities.
Situated in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, the company covers an area of 30,000 square meters, and is coordinated with flight training, ground instruction, office, relaxation and entertainment. Having totally 14 simulator stands and several flight training device rooms, the company has already got 8 full flight simulators, such as A300, A320, A330/340, B737NG and B787, and 5 flight training devices. In the instructing area, there are 16 multi-media classrooms, 240 computers for CBT, and 42 briefing rooms. Also there are several multi-functional meeting rooms and seminar rooms in the office area.
To satisfy the relaxation desire of the trainees after the training, the company is equipped with 283 guest rooms, and several recreation and entertainment facilities, such as bar, gymnasium, table-tennis room, indoor basketball hall, reading room, and outdoor tennis court.
